Applicants Welfare
& Development Centre (AWANDEC) is a non-governmental, non-political
organization established in March 2000. It was formerly called Applicants
Welfare & National Development Centre. By May 2010, the name was legally
changed to Applicants Welfare & Development Centre; removing the word National.
It was registered with the Akwa Ibom State Government through Ministry of Women
Affairs and Social Welfare in 2003, and the Federal Government of Nigeria
through Corporate Affairs Commission in 2010 with Registration Certificate
(CAC/IT/NO. 38557).
SERVICE INTERVENTIONS
Our service
interventions entail touching lives of the poorest of the poor in the typical
rural and urban communities through service delivery, advocacy and engagement
with the duty bearers to meet the felt needs of the less privileged in the
society.
